In short: we respond to valid takedown notices, and we give creators a fair way to dispute a removal.

 

1. Our policy

 

Hook Transition respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects creators using our platform to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent laws elsewhere.

 

2. Filing a takedown notice

If you believe a clip in our library infringes your copyright, send a written notice to copyright@hooktransition.com including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • The URL or clip title in our library where the material appears
  • Your contact information — name, address, phone number, and email
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you’re authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  • Your physical or electronic signature

 

3. What happens next

 

  • We review — our team checks the notice for completeness within 5 business days
  • We remove — valid notices result in the clip being taken down from the library
  • We notify — the uploader or source is informed and given a chance to respond

 

4. Counter-notices

 

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address including your contact details, identification of the removed clip, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake. We may restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the original claimant files a court action.

 

5. Repeat infringers

 

Accounts or sources associated with repeated, valid infringement claims will be permanently removed from the library and may be banned from the platform.

 

6. Designated agent

 

All copyright notices should be sent to: copyright@hooktransition.com. Please use this address rather than general support for faster handling.
