About Us
Company
Every viral video has the same problem to solve in its first two seconds: give the scroll a reason to stop. We got tired of scrubbing through hundreds of TikToks at 2am to find one good opener, so we started saving the best ones in a shared folder. The folder became a library. The library became Hook Transition.
Today that library holds tens of thousands of ready-to-cut hook clips — the bad drivers, the near-misses, the reactions, the trick shots — tagged, searched, and downloaded by editors who don’t have time to doomscroll for research.
What we’re here to do
Hook Transition exists to shorten the distance between an idea and a finished edit. We index, tag, and clear the way for creators to open their video for you — so the six hours you’d spend hunting for footage go into the eight seconds after it instead.
How we work
- Speed over scale — a smaller library that’s actually searchable beats a bigger one you can’t find anything in.
- Made for editors — every clip is trimmed, tagged, and platform-sized before it ever reaches the library.
- Provenance matters — we link back to the original creator on every hook, and we take takedown requests seriously.
Who’s behind it
We’re a small, remote team of editors, archivists, and one person whose entire job is watching short-form video and tagging it correctly. If you’ve downloaded a hook from us, one of us has probably watched it a hundred times.
